Sensational Lake House - Lampshade

Redecorating the bedroom at our lake house and thought the lamp would look great in fabric matching a cushion on the bed. So here is how I did it:

Trace around the lamp onto the wrong side of the fabric:

Add 1/2 to 1 inch hem allowance:

sew edges - finished edges first (zigzag) then hemmed:

iron:

attach to lamp with hot glue:

 

beautiful!:

Heart beats...

I think my heart beats faster whenever I'm in an Anthroplogie store.

Found some lovely items today for the lake cabin, and found some great ideas I need to work on, like these GORGEOUS cushions!

Also saw a lamp shade in newspaper print and I loved it. Now, come on, how easy would that be to do :)

Man, I have so many ideas swimming in my head at the moment - it's crazy.
