I spent this morning in quiet prayer time, reading the Gospel John. I read 1- 10 before the girls interrupted and needed me. It was a great start to the day.
The girls played SO awesome together today. One of those very rare days when it was so blissful and happy.
I spent the afternoon out in the front yard mowing, edging, weeding and cleaning up after the storm. We had a heap of hail come through, and were lucky that the tornadoes missed us. Storms freak me out, especially these tornadoes - I am not used to them yet. I'm the one huddling in the laundry with all my prized possessions (the kids, the cat, my camera, etc) while my husband parades up and down the street searching the sky for any impeding danger. The sirens are going off, it's storming and still he is out there looking around! UGGH!! Just ups my stress level! Anyway, we were lucky this time (thank you Lord), just hail damage to the roof. My car somehow survived unscathed.
So, back to today. A beautiful day to be outside. The girls played so sweet. I got the yard looking awesome, and my 3yr old always manages to blow me away. This was the conversation:
J: "Mom, who makes the green lizards?"
Me: "God does."
J: "Mom, who makes the roly polys?"
Me: "God does."
J: "Mom, who makes the bushes?"
Me: "God makes them too."
J: "Humpf, well, what does Jesus do then? Why does God have to make everything!"
She floors me.
It was a Good Friday indeed.
